When we recently commenced a full home rebuild, the strip-out phase revealed a valuable opportunity. Behind a boxed-in wall section sat poorly positioned pipework, unnecessarily reducing the room’s footprint. By removing the redundant boxing and repositioning the services to a more practical location, we reclaimed 600mm of usable space.
In design and construction terms, 600mm is transformative. It can improve circulation, increase storage, refine proportions, and elevate the overall functionality of a room. What initially appeared to be a limitation became an opportunity — because we had the structural knowledge to identify and resolve it.
